My mom had found this adorable ladybug clip for Finley. It actually doesn't look too challenging to make, I don't think a glue gun would work for it though, I think you need glue that dries flatter than a glue gun dot will. Anyone have any experience with this? I have seen so many things you can make, like flowers and bugs, and I have no clue what glue will work best. I am guessing something like a superglue.
Finley has been obsessing over her word flash cards that she got from Miss Marianne and Joe. She has nearly every one memorized, which is amazing. Of course, car still is beep beep and cat is still meow, but she has it down pretty well.

Katie,
Hello from and old MD friend! I have some experience with making bows. I'd suggest *trying* hot glue gun since that is readily available but be prepared to burn your fingers, LOL You can also try a fabric glue or e-6000 (I think that is the number), but the application tip is large and you need something really fine for the detailed work you'll be doing. You could try superglue--the applicator is really tiny. I think that is key--finding a tiny applicator to cut down on the glue mess. I don't do animals (and other ribbon sculptures) because I simply don't have the patience. I mostly do bows, clippies with embellishments, korkers, etc. I hand-stitch everything except of course the ribbon to the clip (hot glue that). If you'd like a 'secret' to keeping them more secure, let me know! :) Amy (Schenk) Bevard
