Raffers is Coming!

My favorite toy as a little kid was a giraffe named Raffers. You could ride him or push him, he was all around a great toy. Since toys like him are now plastic and not wood, they aren't nearly as nifty as Raffers was. Thank goodness my parents keep everything so Finley gets to enjoy Raffers! They are bringing him this weekend, I bet she will really enjoy it.

Note the awesome Winnie the Pooh footie pajamas. I wish they made them in adult size. I remember being so sad when they no longer came in my size. They had ones without feet, but what good was that?!!?

Tripod Sitting!

Auntie Marianne was explaining how Finley's awkward sitting had a name: tripod sitting. She is getting quite good at it, she stays up for about 30 seconds or so before she keels over to the left or right, which doesn't seem to phase her one bit. We also had quite the accessory show: hats, bows, oh my!

Doesn't she look so relaxed sitting in her glider?

Twenty Weeks Old

A little late in posting~ Aunties Neon, Courtney, Marianne and Shannon came over for brunch. Finley was most excited to see baby Max, they had a great time watching us all =) One day they will be able to eat ice cream cake with us!

Such a big girl~

Finley is able to 'stand' when we hold her by her arms or help support her back. It is the cutest thing ever and she really seems to enjoy it! She is also beginning to be able to sit a little, it lasts for just seconds, but she is getting stronger and stronger. Soon enough she will be chasing her kitty cats all over the house, Clifton cannot wait for that day! I bet Wrigley and Camden are happy to wait, as long as possible.

She also is loving to grab her feet, but I wasn't able to catch a good shot of that. Everytime she saw the camera, she dropped her feet!

Is it time for real food yet?

I had a Babies R Us gift card that needed to be used, so I stocked up on sippy cups and baby food supplies with it. It looks like in the next couple of months we will be venturing on to the world of baby food. My goal is to make all of Finley's food myself. It doesn't seem too complicated and since you can freeze it in ice cube trays, it should be a snap. I am still debating what her first real food should be. Avocado? Banana? Butternut squash? Sweet potato? Such a big decision!

Park Playdate

Finley is super jealous of her playdate Joe, he can climb, go down the slide and even ride in the park swings. Soon enough she will be able to join him and she just cannot wait. She was kind enough to share her rings with him, such a good sharer, lets hope this lasts~

More pics from this morning

Finley was giggling up a storm when I was tickling her this afternoon. It was so cute! She went with me to run a bunch of errands, what a trooper. We got her some sippy cups, a take along placemat and some tiny food containers at Babies R Us with our last gift card I had left. All the choices were so overwhelming, especially with sippy cups and Finley wasn't much help! We also looked for a good baby pool float at BRU And Target, but nothing really seemed right. Anyone have a recommendation?

We were trying to get a good shot of Finley and her new bunny bank from Brian since he moved away to Singapore~ what a tough thing to do!

The best Blue Bonnets are in Bellville

It was a beautiful Texas day and the word was that the blue bonnets were out in full force. We headed towards Brenham, then onto Bellville. There were huge fields outside of Brenham, but my favorite patch was outside Bellville, the flowers are so beautiful.

I cannot think of a more perfect way to spend the first day of spring!
