Ghostbusters!

Finley's dance class had a performance today in celebration of Halloween.  Since the start of class, they have been practicing a tap routine to the Ghostbusters theme song.  Finley's bat costume definitely stuck out among all the princesses.  I think Finley was a wee bit jealous of the Doc McStuffins costume, she even had a stuffed Stuffy to carry.  All the girls did a great job and were so excited to dance for us.  They had cookies and treat bags at the end of class.  Finley also got to wear her bat costume to gymnastics today, so it was a batty day!

Maroon Bells

We decided to hike up to Crater Lake this morning. It was very nice when we first started out, but as it warmed up things got quite muddy. And Finley got quite tired. We made it a little over halfway and turned back. The walk was a big climb up and was pretty, but I was a little sad that we didn't make it to the lake. The Maroon Bells looked beautiful with all the snow!

Gypsum Fall Festival

Since our day at Dewberry Farm was rained out, we decided to drive over to Gypsum for their Fall Festival this afternoon.  There was a pumpkin patch, a haunted maze and lots of fall games.  Finley selected a pumpkin and decorated it with paint and stickers.  She was quite scared by the maze, she had to be carried by Clifton through most of it.  She was so excited to play all the games and eat popcorn.  We went out to dinner in Glenwood Springs after and I almost hit an elk on the way home.  It was huge!

Snow!

It snowed last night and Finley was so excited to play in it.  We made snow angels, had a snowball fight and made a good effort to make a snow man.  Colorado snow is so powdery, it is hard to get a snowman put together.  Finley decided that we were making snow cupcakes instead with leaf candles.  Much smaller and much easier to accomplish. Sadly, it looks like Finley's moose hat is a bit too big. For our next snow playdate, we will go back to her pink hat.

Lego Girl

Finley received this Lego set for her birthday last year, but we didn't open it up until last month. She loves working on Legos with Clifton and has gotten quite good. They also have a Star Wars Lego set to balance out the girly Lego set. She was so proud of herself!
