In Search of a Tooth...

I took a bunch of pictures on Sunday trying to get Finley's tooth on film. I wasn't suepr successful in showing her pearly white, but I did capture some super cute faces in trying to get her to open her little mouth.

She still hasn't made any progress on the crawling front, just lots of rolling around and spinning around on her stomach. She can "crawl" backwards, but still nothing in the forward motions.

She has been playing pretend, she grabs at the carpet, picks up imaginary food, puts it in her mouth and then chews it. I tried giving her tiny pieces of green beans tonight to see if she was interested, she was! Progress, progress.

A New Food Item...sort of...

I think Finley's second tooth is going to be making an appearance soon. Joe's mom had handed down these nifty little mesh nets to hold ice or frozen foods. I put a coupld of frozen peach slices in there and let Finley go to town. She absolutely loved it!

Can you see her tooth?

Birthday Party Fun!

Finley only had one short nap all day today because she had so much party fun! Ryan turned one this past week and everyone got together to celebrate his Ryan-osaur party. Finley had a great time playing with Riley, I cannot believe they are nearly the same size and Finley is nearly 5 months older.

We had a fantastic time at the party and Sarah outdid herself with all the wonderful food and favors!

I love my Auntie Carrie!

Can you believe how close in size they are?

Spotty Dotty Finley-Bug

Finley had a great day of swimming today. She really enjoys her pool float. We need to get some more pool toys for her to keep her entertained, I guess we could just repurpose some of her bath time toys for pool fun. Our pool is one giant bath tub anyhow, I would guess that the water is 80 degrees...it has been SO hot lately.

So when do I get my big girl Ducati?

Even though the age limit is at a two year old minimum, Clifton decided it was time to put together the Ducati Race Track. Finley seemed to enjoy watching the bikes race, as did Wrigley. She kept trying to grab at the bikes, it was the cutest thing ever.

It's Hot at the Zoo

On Father's day, Clifton requested to go to the zoo. Even with a 9am start time, we were all way too hot there! We did get to catch the tiger training.

Happy Father's Day

We took an early morning trip to the zoo and now Finley is taking a nap to get ready for dinner with her daddy. It was super hot at the zoo, but we were able to watch the tiger training while we were there. We ran into Marianne, Jason and Joe at the zoo. Joe is so smart!

Her Mother's Daughter

Finley loves boxes! I am not sure if it is much as I love boxes or if it is as much as my mom loves boxes, but she really loves them. We were wrapping Clifton's Father's Day gift this morning and I turned for one second and she had the box top off trying to eat it. She also was mad for the scotch tape, no matter where I hid it, she found it. That will be a helpful skill during X-Mas present wrapping, since I always misplace the tape.

Another First...

Finley sat in a restaurant high chair for the very first time last night. We were out for crablegs for my birthday and she did just great. She was super jealous that I got crab legs and she did not, but she had her crab outfit on in honor of the occasion. Her sweet potato, pear and banana dinner just doesn't have quite the yumminess factor that steamed crabs do. Soon enough she will get to try some and we can order Clifton something from the kids menu.
