Swing time!

Since the weather was so lovely today, we decided to test out Finley's tree swing. It was a success. She really enjoyed it. Our neighbors Gina and her son Seth stopped by to say how cute Finley was. It was such a nice afternoon that Clifton, Finley and I all took a walk around the neighborhood. On our walk, I noticed that we are the only swing in our neighborhood with the fancy chains instead of plain rope. Clifton and my dad put the swing up, I think they got a bit carried away!

Even though we were in the shade, Finley still thought it was too bright.

The closest thing to a boyfriend...

that a 2.5 month can have is Max! They have had three dates this week, if she were 25 and they were dating, it would be serious. Now, other babies have been out with us (group dates, a la the Bachelor maybe?), but they have only had eyes for each other. At least that is what their moms tell each other.

They are so in sync, both like naps after driving on IH-610 (and demand the extended drive), Dr Browns bottles and Trumpette socks...they would so my matched on eHarmony.

Should we call a Waaaaah-mbulance?

Finley is dressed in her Dalamtian outfit today, so she would fit in great at a fire station...though she would prefer to be in am waaaah-mbulance with all that crying.

Luckily, a trip to Hobby Lobby and HEB turned those tears right around. Of course, her friend Wrigley was excited to see her when we got home.

Holding her head up!

Finley was great at holding her head up when she was first born, but lately she has been regressing and hasn't been enjoying her tummy time at all. This morning, she was back into holding her head up and I got lots of great pictures of her. Wrigley was hanging out with us the entire time and I got a great shot of her looking out the window at a bird.

Pants that were once too long...

Are now clamdiggers...she is growing so fast! I love this outfit so much, I will probably make her wear it as shorts. We had some fun taking photos this morning while listening to The Killers and playing with Wrigley. She is now sleeping in her swing, which gives me time to get the short ribs prepped for my dinner party this evening.

Here are some of my favorite pictures, there are a ton that turned out super cute.

Playdate with Ryan

Ryan showed off his downward dog crawling skills and Finley was super impressed. Both babies were curious about each other and Ryan was super cute playing with all his neat toys. I see a great friendship in their future, Ryan can teach Finley so much: sitting up, crawling, playing with toys. We had a great afternoon.

Later in the day Finley charmed the guy who is going to repair our fence. Maybe she can score us a discount!

Little sneezers!

Finley got the cutest pink elephant from Zane and Karen. She loves dancing to it, but for some reason, it makes her sneeze! Both times I videoed her, she was sneezing at the end. I need to remember that videos cannot be rotated...whoops~

We had lunch with Auntie Lori today, Finley cannot wait to meet her new friends Courtney and Kendall.

We're going to the zoo today to see the animals laugh and play

Finley had her very first trip to the Houston Zoo today. We got a membership so that we could enjoy the zoo often this year. She slept through the majority of the afternoon, but I am sure she smelled all the animals we saw. We met Patrick, his wife Shannon and his three daughters (plus one of their friends). It was quite a fun day and Finley cannot wait to go back to see all her animal friends. She is especially excited to return to see the cats, since half of the exhibit was closed.

Awake and ready to see some animals:
