Playdate in Sugar Land

We got to visit Auntie Georgia and Riley's house today and even got to visit with Uncle Robert, fun! Auntie Sarah was there with her cutie Ryan and Auntie Lori had the twins, Courtney and Kendall, in tow as well. Riley and the twins snoozed away, but we did get to spend some time with them. Trying to take a picture of Finley and the twins was near impossible, the twins were cooperative, but Finley was having none of it. Ryan was showing off his walking skills, Finley was beyond jealous and can't wait to try it someday soon. Riley has a fantastic toy assortment, Finley had the best time.

Moving, moving, moving...

Finley is all over the place, she is trying to pull up, mainly on me. It is hard to grab a picture of her now because she obviously has important Finley business across the room. She was making her trademark face this morning when she was crawling, it was the cutest thing and was really cracking me up.

We have finally moved up into size 3 diapers, but she still fits in some 3-6 months clothes (like the dress she is wearing!). We will find out official height and weight stats at her nine month doctor appointment next week. Thankfully, there are no shots at this appointment, both Finley and I are happy about that.

Babies love Smashburger

Maybe Finley didn't get to try any Smashburger, but she did like all the colors and noise. Her snap peas, sweet potatoes and homemade cherry yogurt suited her just fine. We got the privelege of trying our new local Smashburger for free tonight, thanks to me being Yelp Elite. We can happily report that the food is great, especially the haystack onions, though they were pretty greasy.

Such Cuteness

Finley finally gets to enjoy her Pancakes

A few months back, I had made pancakes in the shape of Finley's name. Joe's mom's advice was good, we waited until 8 months! Yesterday morning, I made plain pancakes for Finley (strawberry for Clifton and I, she still has to wait some more for those). She seemed to like them okay, we still aren't sure if she preferred them with or without the tiniest dot of syrup.

Finley also tried pasta for the first time this week. She really seemed to enjoy it, we tried it with a spinach tomato sauce. She won't eat spinach plain, but she does like it whenever I mix it with anything.

Her army crawling is getting better and better, the funniest part is that whenever she is moving she is talking "ah-ah-ah-ah". This doesn't allow her to sneak up on the cats very easily, so they run away much faster than she can crawl after them, though Wrigley always comes back to play.

Finley is working on week two of the runniest nose ever from teething. We keep waiting on the top teeth to make their appearance, but there haven't been any sightings yet.

One more 'talent' is that Finley now waves~ it is the cutest thing ever.
