Finley had an amazing Christmas! She started the morning off with some Shipley's Donuts, a family tradition, well, not the Shipley's part, but I had a coupon. Then it was onto the presents. Oh the presents!
Finley got so many amazing gifts, the most amazing being her play kitchen that my dad made. Part one arrived for Christmas, the stove. The sink and refrigerator will be making their appearances in a couple months. She really loves it! She also had a great time putting all the felt food that my mom made for her in and out of the kitchen.
We got her a couple Little People sets. Little People were my favorite toy as a child, so I wanted to share them with her.
Finley got a fantastic musical table from her Uncle Al and Aunt Sharon and a pretty doll from her Uncle Larry and Aunt Joan.
Finley had her tongue stuck out all day, no clue why!

Christmas Eve
After a long day of present wrapping and cookie baking, we headed to Kam's for a Chinese feast. Finley loved the crab and corn soup as well as the steamed pork dumplings. She has been less than enthusiastic about Chinese food in the past, so this was quite a pleasant surprise. After we got home, Finley wrote a note to Santa and left him some of the Christmas cookies. Then, she opened one present, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We read the story together and followed it up with The Night Before Christmas. Finley headed for bed with visions of sugar plums, at a very late time for her. It was past 8 pm!

C is for Cookie
And Finley is a cookie MONSTER! She tried a gingerbread man for the first time today, of course Clifton fed it to her before dinner...sigh. She loved it and couldn't cram it into her mouth fast enough. She definitely knows the word "cookie!"

Best Toy Yet
Finley loves being pulled around in her chip box. She has my old cell phone in there with her, which I refer to as her car phone. I don't think we need to buy her anything for Christmas, just take her to Costco to pick out a box that has handles so that we can pull her around in it. It's the little things.

Hairbows
Finley loves to take out her hair bow and try to put it back on. She is not ever successful in getting back in, of course, but she still tries and tries. She had all her hairbows out of her drawer today and was trying to put them all in her hair. She also was keen on her Christmas tree.
Anyone else out there feel like the Christmas wrapping has increased exponetially since you had a kid? Whew...I feel like the wrapping will never end!
