Pump It Up

Finley had her first big girl birthday party today at Pump It Up. It was Sarah Kate's 5th birthday party and everyone had a great time. Even Uncle Jeff went down the slide.

Finley was overwhelmed at first, all the kids, music and lights were a lot for her. She did ride down a slide with Clifton, but I am not sure if she enjoyed it or not. Clifton said she had a death grip on him the entire time they were in the bouncy house.

Of course, everything was fantastic at the end of the party because Finley got to enjoy her first ever birthday cake with some chocolate Blue Bell to go with. Of course she cried after she had eaten her second cup and realized there was no more left.

Block Time Fun

Finley got new blocks from her friend Joe. She just loves them. Her favorite thing to do is to knock them down. She also really loves to throw them around. Of course, like every single one of her toys, she loves to gnaw on them. At least they are soft and squishy.

She is still fitting in her 3 to 6 month dresses, but look how much she has changed:

Frame by Frame

I was able to take several shots of Finley pulling herself up. She loves to pull herself up on the couch and walk up and down in search of the remote. Then when she gets it, she just wants to eat it (when are those two top teeth ever going to make their appearance?!?!)

We also had some playtime fun with Raffers.

Super Standers

Finley can pull herself up and stand now. She is doing it all the time, even in her crib. She then cruises around whatever she is holding on to, it is amazing how quickly she started doing this. She just started crawling a couple weeks ago and she is so mobile now.

We are a little concerned about her trying to climb out of her crib, so we had to take the mobile down. She tries to climb up everything, she nearly made it to the top of the couch.

Crazy Hair and on the Move

Finley might be needing her first hair cut soon. Everytime she wakes up, her hair is shaped in a new crazy way. Her bangs are getting really long and nearly reach her eyes when you brush them forward.

She is also always on the move. She rarely wants to sit and play. She never wants to sit for her picture to be taken. She is still solidly an army crawler, but she is using her legs more and more. This morning she took about four crawls normal style, but quickly ended up back on her tummy.

Just what every office needs...

Clifton's old office had a life size cut-out of Sarah Palin, the office across the hall had one of Gene Simmons and now there is a life size Finley cut-out! Her grandad's secretary made this awesome decoration, how neat is that?

Play Date with Noah

Finley had a great time at Noah's house, especially chasing his cat Biscuit around. I don't think Biscuit knew what to make of a mobile baby. Finley really liked Noah's soft block set, we might have to get one for her. For more adorable play pictures, see Noah's blog.

Tiredest Baby Ever

Finley had a big play day with Grandma yesterday, she is catching up on her sleep today. I have never seen her slumped over so much in her car seat, that is one tired baby!

Thirty-Nine Weeks

Nine Month Doctor Appointment

Height: 27 inches (50th percentile)
Weight: 16 pounds and 13 ounces (25th percentile)
Head: 17 inches (75th percentile)

Her pediatrician says she is "perfect", but we already knew that. No shots at this appointment, thank goodness! They did prick her toe to test her blood to see if she was anemic, since she is breastfed. She isn't! I already could have told you that since she eats so much spinach.
