Nine Month Doctor Appointment

Height: 27 inches (50th percentile)
Weight: 16 pounds and 13 ounces (25th percentile)
Head: 17 inches (75th percentile)

Her pediatrician says she is "perfect", but we already knew that. No shots at this appointment, thank goodness! They did prick her toe to test her blood to see if she was anemic, since she is breastfed. She isn't! I already could have told you that since she eats so much spinach.

Bedtime Bandit

Finley headed straight for the electrical outlet and the door stopper, always trying to get into trouble!

What's my name?

I got these adorable pacifiers way before Finley was born and she never took to them. Finley is not a big pacifier user, but she was having a rough afternoon yesterday with teething. Isn't the pacifier the cutest?

Thirty-Eight Weeks

It is getting near impossible to capture a shot of her, she goes on the insta-roll as soon as we put her down. Even with both of us there, it is a challenge!

Won't Wave for the Camera

Finley has been waving hi and bye for a couple weeks now. All morning while we were eating breakfast together, she was waving at me across the table. When I decide to take the camera out to record her, of course the waving stops!

First Dessert: had to be Blue Bell

Finley had her very first dessert today. So far, Finley has only had the most healthy foods, mainly fruits and vegetables, but today she got her first taste of sweets. And she loved it!

For our fourth anniversary, I gave Clifton the gift of a fruit pie every month for a year. This month's was peach. We had it with Texas' own Blue Bell vanilla ice cream. Finley was a major fan. If she didn't have a spoonfull near her mouth, she was crying. She would go from super excited about eating her peaches and ice cream to be beyond upset that there wasn't any in her mouth. Then there was a huge bout of crying after the pie eating was over...I guess dessert will be a rare treat around this house! Finley wants to know when her first trip to Brenham will be....

Playdate in Sugar Land

We got to visit Auntie Georgia and Riley's house today and even got to visit with Uncle Robert, fun! Auntie Sarah was there with her cutie Ryan and Auntie Lori had the twins, Courtney and Kendall, in tow as well. Riley and the twins snoozed away, but we did get to spend some time with them. Trying to take a picture of Finley and the twins was near impossible, the twins were cooperative, but Finley was having none of it. Ryan was showing off his walking skills, Finley was beyond jealous and can't wait to try it someday soon. Riley has a fantastic toy assortment, Finley had the best time.

Moving, moving, moving...

Finley is all over the place, she is trying to pull up, mainly on me. It is hard to grab a picture of her now because she obviously has important Finley business across the room. She was making her trademark face this morning when she was crawling, it was the cutest thing and was really cracking me up.

We have finally moved up into size 3 diapers, but she still fits in some 3-6 months clothes (like the dress she is wearing!). We will find out official height and weight stats at her nine month doctor appointment next week. Thankfully, there are no shots at this appointment, both Finley and I are happy about that.

Babies love Smashburger

Maybe Finley didn't get to try any Smashburger, but she did like all the colors and noise. Her snap peas, sweet potatoes and homemade cherry yogurt suited her just fine. We got the privelege of trying our new local Smashburger for free tonight, thanks to me being Yelp Elite. We can happily report that the food is great, especially the haystack onions, though they were pretty greasy.
