Will you be my Valentine?

Of course, Finley's dress is her Valentine...sigh...

Baby laughs!

Finley laughed for me for the first time today. She has laughed for Clifton before, but never me. Luckily, Clifton was here to catch it on video. Finley loves 'jumping', but only if you hold her arms. It is the cutest thing, she is so joyful!

Thanks to Zane for showing me how to rotate the video~

Inside all day...

It has been so beautiful all week, so wouldn't you know that it would rain all day on my day off. Finley and I did get to hit Costco, thank goodness for the parking garage. Too bad I forgot to buy diapers for her. She was in my cart, right there reminding me, and I still forgot!

Some pics from hanging out around the house and yes, she still loves to eat her dress. That won't stop me from putting her in dresses~

Floppy hats are grand!

Clifton put Finley in a cute little dress after she spit up all over her first cute little dress of the day. Little did he know such a cute matching floppy hat was lurking in her drawers. This is her first floppy hat and she loved it. I thought the chin strap would bother her for sure, but she didn't mind one bit. And she looked incredibly adorable in it!

Some cute pics from her 13 week photo shoot

Holding up my head is hard work, I give up

Our daughter, the flasher

Finley has taken to pulling up her dress, it seems to be her new thing. She likes to chew on it, play with it and even cuddle with it. I think someone needs some sort of blanket to snuggle with!

When life gives you lemons...

On Saturday we had a fantastic baby shower for Lori's twins. Finley cannot wait to meet them and have some playmates. It was a tea party theme and I ended up with a ton of lemons. So I squeezed them all and made a lemon cake. There was still some juice leftover, so I made a batch of lemonade as well, because that is what you are supposed to do with lemons.

My trusty assistant was a great help, as usual. And she had her trusty assistant Sohpie helping her. She cannot wait until the day she can join in the family traditions and have cake for breakfast (no worse than a doughnut, right?)

All dressed up....

It is a beautiful 70 degree day here in Houston, so I got Finley all dolled up for a day of shopping. She has grown so much since Thanksgiving! She was most interested in eating her dress rather than posing for pictures. She is starting to try and roll over, she makes it to her side and then gives up.

Too bad the dress didn't make it out. While I was getting dressed, her diaper gave out and she was certainly in need of a new outfit. Poor Finley!

All sorts of cuteness

and some Jumperoo fun! Finley is overwhelmed with all the Jumperoo has to offer.

Did you see that over there??!!? Amazing.

What is this thing?

I am unsure about this...

I will go back to eating my hands....much more fun!

I came home from work at lunch today and Finley looked like she had grown an inch or two. She is growing so very fast. She is almost three months old, amazing!

Her favorite thing at the moment is trying to eat her hands. She has no interest in toys, just her hands. It is getting hard to take a picture of her smiles because her little hands are always in front of her mouth.

It looks like she is going to keep her hair! JOY!!! She has managed to rub a patch off in the back.

Finley's first Valentine

Grandma (or is it Grammy?) and Grandad (don't call me Pa) Engleman sent Finley her first ever Valentine. We are still not sure what it is, we need to read the accompanying book to figure out what he or she is. Since it is a Dr. Seuss book, we have to read it over the course of a couple nights. Finley doesn't yet have the patience to get through an entire Dr. Seuss book, except her Hop on Pop board book (it is the annotated version). We will start the book tonight to try and figure out who this new love is. She really took to him or her straight away, though Clifton was a bit concerned that she was trying to ingest his or her hair. Thanks for the gift G&G Engleman!
