Courtney and Kendall had their foruth birthday party at Great Play in Sugar Land. Finley had so much fun at the party, the room was set up perfectly for kids and the leader of the party was fantastic with the kids. There was pizza, cake and Max, so Finley was thrilled. She even ate two pieces of cake! The kids got medals at the end of the party and they were so excited.
On our way to buy crabs in Seabrook, we saw a small bluebonnet patch. We decided to stop on the way back and luckily Courtney and I each had our point and shoot cameras on us. Finley was not thrilled to have her picture taken, even with Max! Hopefully she will be more accommodating on our big trip to Brenham for bluebonnet photographs.
Finley's class had an Easter Egg Hunt and Party yesterday at school. She was so excited for the egg hunt and was determined to find the most Easter eggs. She filled up her whole bucket and had a ton of eggs, she was so proud of herself! At the end of the school day, her class had a party to celebrate. She was so happy to show of her eggs and celebrate with all her friends.
Finley put all her strawberry picking to good use, for strawberry shortcake. I was shocked how much she loved it, especially the shortcake itself. She was so proud of stirring the sugar into the berries and assembling her shortcake. She was dipping the shortcake and strawberries in more whipped cream than each could withstand.
We headed out to Froberg Farms again this year to pick some strawberries. Finley and Max were quite efficient in picking their buckets full of berries, but the picking was super easy. There were huge red strawberries everywhere! I think Finley and Max each ate half a bucket's worth after we had them weighed. It was crazy how many strawberries they each ate. I thought they wouldn't touch lunch at Panera, but that was not an issue, they each cleared their plate. Finley had so much fun in the market selecting fruits and vegetables to purchase. Apparently she only likes green apples now, who knew?
Last week Max, Courtney, Grandad, Finley and I headed to the rodeo. We took the lightrail over to Reliant and got to the rodeo early before the crowds started to get crazy. It was spring break, so it was going to be a huge day. Finley and Max had a blast playing at Fun at the Farm, riding carnival rides and watching the pig races. We grabbed lunch then visited some livestock. After that it was getting quite busy, so it was back on the light rail to get home.
Besides Beaver Creek, Finley skiied at both Sunlight and Vail mountains. She loves the snow! We also made a Mike snowman from Monsters Inc...with an olive for his one eye.
