Rodeo Festival

Finley was so excited for Rodeo Festival this year.  She was sad that her boots no longer fit, but she didn't let that dampen her spirits.  It was rainy and cold, but the kids still had an amazing time.  Finley's class rotated from station to station, visiting the petting zoo, working on coloring a new bandana, pony races, a farm themed bouncy slide and even a pony ride.  She proclaimed the slide to be her most favorite activity.  She was also quite excited to score an extra juice box during snack time, sometimes it is the little things.

Photographer Finley

Mr. Sid and Miss Ashley gifted Finley with her very own digital camera yesterday.  Finley took over a 100 pictures with it on the first day.  She has already taken over a 100 pictures this morning, she is obsessed.  Here are some of the highlights from yesterday.

Sledding

Finley loves her new sled.  Even more than tubing and skiing.  We went sledding for about three hours the other day and finished the afternoon by building a new snowman.  Finley was shocked that there were remains from our prior snowman building efforts.  We even found the carrot!

Perfect Day

It was warm, sunny and there was fresh snow.  Finley continued her amazing ski skills by adding Adams Avenue (a blue!) to her list of completed runs.  I took the gondola down...ha!

Elk Camp Nights

Much to Finley's disappointment, there isn't any tubing in Snowmass or Aspen. Tubing in Beaver Creek was one of her most favorite things to do. On Friday nights, they have tubing, snow biking and snow slides set up at Elk Camp in Snowmass. And it is only $5 compared to the $50 tubing in Beaver Creek. We got there right when it opened, which meant we were able to get several good tube runs in before the crowds picked up. Finley stuck her hands and feet straight up in the air when she went down, the guys at the top of the hill were all laughing at her, they though she was too cute. Finley is already counting the days until we can go again.

Merry Christmas!

Let's hope Santa remembered Finley's toaster, doctor kit and Doc McStuffins Check-up Center!

Christmas Eve

Finley had quite an exciting day.  We went out to Dunkin Donuts  to select tomorrow's breakfast, lots of frosting, lots of sprinkles and lots of chocolate were her choices.  Then, Grandma, Jack, Aunt Rose and Faith came over to exchange gifts.  Finley got a new scooter and a membership to the zoo, as well as Uno, which we have already played (Finley won!)  We had a fantastic lunch at Pappasitos, a quick dinner at Kam's, then it was time to get the house ready for Santa.  Finley put out reindeer food, a pile of cookies for Santa and hung up her stocking.  After reading Polar Express and Twas the Night Before Christmas, it was time for bed.  Finley is so excited for Christmas.
