School Birthday Party

Finley's birthday party was held at school this afternoon, she was so excited for it that she didn't nap.  Or it was just like every other day and she didn't want to nap.  I got there at 2 pm with chocolate cupcakes and juice boxes.  Finley had requested chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles.  The kids loved the cupcakes, especially the massive amount of sprinkles that Finley added to them.  After everyone ate, we sat and read stories.  The kids were so cute requesting me to read different books, I could see how fun it would be to work with young kids, they were all so sweet.

Happy 5th Birthday, Finley Anne!

I cannot believe Finley is five years old, she is growing up so very fast.  We had such a fun day.  We met up with Grandma, Grammy, Grandad, Aunt Rose, Faith, Max and his parents for a fun day at Disney on Ice.  Finley was so excited!  She and Max were glued to the seats, the really did a great job watching the show.  Especially since there was a constant stream of hot dogs, popcorn and cake!  After the show, we headed back to our house for presents.  Finley got great new Lego sets, a Doc McStuffins game, a Dorothy doll and a new bike!  She was so excited to ride her bike around the block a few times and she told me she was going to ride it around first thing in the morning.  We played a few games of Doc Operation and put together her Lego tow truck.  We had a pizza dinner at Finley's request, then another cake at home.  Finley had requested carrot cake, so she and daddy shared.  Happy 5th birthday to Finley!

Fall Festival

For the first time ever, the Fall Festival at Finley's school wasn't held on the same day she was celebrating her birthday. No birthday crown in any pictures! I was volunteering at the art station, where the kids got to paint the pumpkins they selected from the pumpkin patch. The first class we had was the under two year old class, which was quite interesting. Once I had older kids to work with, I was able to sneak away and snap some photos of Finley having fun on the turkey wagon, slide and games. She had a great time!

Halloween Night

Clifton, Finley and I headed over to Aunt Rose and Uncle Ferrell's house for Halloween night.  We made a stop at Grandma's before and after, Finley filled up her pumpkin with tons of candy from Grandma.  Finley had a blast going through the haunted house and riding on the tractor.  She got SO much candy this year and was so excited to be trick or treating with the big kids, especially Faith.

Ghostbusters!

Finley's dance class had a performance today in celebration of Halloween.  Since the start of class, they have been practicing a tap routine to the Ghostbusters theme song.  Finley's bat costume definitely stuck out among all the princesses.  I think Finley was a wee bit jealous of the Doc McStuffins costume, she even had a stuffed Stuffy to carry.  All the girls did a great job and were so excited to dance for us.  They had cookies and treat bags at the end of class.  Finley also got to wear her bat costume to gymnastics today, so it was a batty day!
