Finley's First Art Opening

Only two pieces so far and her collection has already reached out of state. Finley's second ever piece is joining the permanent private collection of her granddad in Phoenix. The buzz is that the work has been very well received and they are already clamoring for more. It must be hard to be so talented at such a very young age.
Finley's first piece is framed and getting ready to be exhibited in downtown Houston. Stay tuned for future showings.

Playgroup Fun

Finley got to visit her friend Max's house on Friday for her playgroup. Audrey, Wyatt and Emma were also there to play. There was a new friend for Finley to meet as well, Jordan is only six months old, but already so close to crawling. Maybe she inspired Finley to get more mobile this past weekend. I didn't bring out my camera until later, so I only grabbed pics of Audrey and Max. The three of them are only weeks apart, but so different in size!

Max looking totally adorable.
Audrey is ready to play cups with Finley.

This play table is much easier when it is on the floor.
What do you mean no more batteries?
Aren't we the cutest ever?

Morning Pictures

Finley was all over the place this morning, it is getting harder and harder to photograph her. She loves to crawl towards me, which means lots of cute close ups. Finley has just wanted to move around today, she isn't interested in anything else, which has made nap time oh so pleasant. She was a super sleeper yesterday, so maybe she is using all that energy she stored up today.

Tiny Bubbles

I got a bubbles set for fifty cents at Walgreens, Finley had lots of fun watching the bubbles and trying to catch them. I got some really funny shots of her, she kept trying to keep her eyes open to watch the bubbles, but at the same time her reflex was to blink when they got near her face. I bet she is really going to love bubbles once she is old enough to blow them herself.

Also, Finley is really getting mobile. She loves to army crawl, but she gets frustrated with Clifton and I if we try to entice her and move what she is after to make her crawl more.

Quite possibly, the worst Finners picture ever:

Finley can Feed Herself

Finley loves her banana puffs, mainly because she can eat them herself. They keep her entertained while I get the rest of her meal ready. This morning only one of the whole bunch made it to the ground. This is a huge improvement from where she started, where I think the majority got crushed in her hands or wound up on the floor.

Her menu has really expanded. She loves fresh cherries in yogurt, pretty much any fruit in yogurt is a huge hit. She even ate pureed spinach yesterday, a little Popeye! The only food she still doesn't like is avocado, which is so shocking. It is such a tasty food. I am going to get some tiny pasta for her to try for lunch next week. We tried some 10 grain bread mixed in with her oatmeal yesterday, she thought it was so-so.
