Another First...

Finley sat in a restaurant high chair for the very first time last night. We were out for crablegs for my birthday and she did just great. She was super jealous that I got crab legs and she did not, but she had her crab outfit on in honor of the occasion. Her sweet potato, pear and banana dinner just doesn't have quite the yumminess factor that steamed crabs do. Soon enough she will get to try some and we can order Clifton something from the kids menu.

Baptisms and Babies

Finley and I went out to the land of Sugar Land to see Courtney and Kendall get baptised and to celebrate with a lunch after. It was baby madness in a very good way. Since we haven't gotten to see Ryan, Riley and the girls for our usual playdates, it was great to see everyone. Ryan is growing so fast, it is just amazing to watch! I think Riley is already as tall as Finley is, imagine that.

The twins were angels during the church service and were sleeping while we all enjoyed a fantastic lunch.

The gorgeous girls.

Alright, so I will hit you on the head, you hit her on the head, deal?

Ready to Shop!

Finley is finally big enough to sit in the big girl seat in the shopping cart. She absolutely loved it. She was squealing with happiness throughout the Costco parking garage. It is much easier for me to shop now without a huge infant carrier in the basket, especially at Costco. She got lots of compliments throughout Kroger and Costco. She is already a bargain shopper!

Pretty in Polly Flinders

Polly Flinders seems to be the same as Kissy Kissy, everything runs tiny! No vanity sizing here. Finley fit perfectly into a 9 month size (same as Kissy Kissy) already, she is barely in 6 month clothes in all other brands.

Finners say: "MFAH"

Clifton and I took Finley to her first trip to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston today. She seemed to enjoy it, though she still doesn't like to be facing outward in her stroller. About a third of the way through our visit, we had to rotate the stroller because she got fussy not seeing either Clifton or I. North Looks South was a fantastic exhibit, I recommend it highly.

We also started pumpkin today, Finley had a Thanksgiving pie themed breakfast today: applesauce and pumpkin. I am guessing she will enjoy both. Clifton and I got to reap the benefits of her pumpkin eating, we had pumpkin waffles.

Such a Cute Bug

Finley is wearing her oh so adorable lady bug dress today, the pockets are lady bugs. We have had a big day so far, lots of playing. We also worked on her top secret Father's Day project. I have some great pictures, but I cannot post them until after the holiday, we wouldn't want to ruin the surprise.

We can still feel her tooth, but we cannot see it unless there is a flashlight involved. She still shows no signs of crawling, but she can spin around on her tummy pretty well. She is so curious, so it is going to be a big change once she gets mobile.

Hats and Bug Bites

Finley's tooth is almost here, you can feel the rough edge in her mouth. She is doing pretty well, considering. She wa up once a couple nights ago, but other than that, she is sleeping great. She shes on her side now that we aren't swaddling her any longer.

Apparently a mosquito or something got to poor Miss Finley, it must be because she is so sweet!

Playgroup Fun and Happy Seven Months!

She is getting so close to her first birthday, how crazy is that?!?!

Here are some cute pics from playgroup. She and Max are quite the darling duo. Finley was pretty fussy during playtime because her bottom left tooth is here! It is just the edge of it so far, but it is definitely here. She has been fussy and upset, poor thing. She seems to be in better spirits today. I wonder when her next tooth will arrive.

Mess!

But a cute mess. I have figured out that if I mix avocado with something else, she will eat them again. Tonight I made a butternut squash and avocado mix. What a disgusting color that is.

We also have been working on using her sippy cup. She can drink from it now, but she much prefers you to hold it for her. She also seems to love to eat the edge of her high chair tray. I guess that is due to teething. I cannot imagine that the old high chair is very tasty.
And some more cute pics, because every mom has to take 100 pictures of her kid in a high chair.
