Poor Finners

Last night was a bad night for Finley, not that anyone realized it until the morning. Poor thing had vomitted (a lot) in the middle of the night sometime. She didn't make a peep until the morning. Clifton discovered her all covered in puke. How awful!

She seemed in good spirits most of the day. Since she started green beans yesterday, we will probably hold off on them for a bit.

On a happier note, here are some pictures from Sunday. My favorite one is where it looks like she is glowing, there was no flash, just the light coming in from her window.

Toddler Seat Upgrade

The greatest feature of our stroller is that you can rotate the seat. You can swing it sideways at a restaurant, rotate it towards you so you can ‘chat’ with Finley during her walks or face her outwards to see where she is going. This also works great for evening walks when the sun is super bright, I can just spin her to avoid the brightness. After a long walk around Rice yesterday, I decided maybe it was time to break out the toddler seat for her. She is sitting up (or trying to) in her infant carrier, so it seemed like a good idea. I think she was quite scared of this new vantage point. She had a three finger death grip on the snack holder for the entire walk. Tonight, I will walk with her facing me, maybe that will get her more used to it

Twenty-Nine Weeks Old

Wow~ where has time gone?

Finley wants Crawfish

We went to Kirby and Patsy's house yesterday for a crawfish boil. Finley was very excited to see everyone. She had to have squash, apples and bananas instead of the yummy crawfish. Next year Finley, next year~

A Sale at the MFAH

Finley and I braved the heat and the lines in order to get a $10 family membership to MFAH, what a deal! The whole process only took an hour or so, not bad at all for a $55 savings. All we need now is a Children's Museum deal and we are set. We have the zoo membership and HMNS is free the first weekend of every month. The museums are a great zoo alternative in the summer.

Finley got a sticker for being SO good at waiting in line. The whole line she was desperate to get her hands on the admission form. Once she got the sticker backing, she promptly tried to eat it and was quite successful. She loves paper!

At the start of the line...

We've rounded the corner, isn't it exciting?

Almost there, Finley needs her pacifier because she is getting impatient!

The nice lady at the museum gave me a sticker!

All tired out from our big adventure~

Giggle, giggle

Happy Memorial Day!

Finley celebrated with a barbecue, too bad she couldn't have a cheeseburger, she was stuck with peaches and bananas. Peaches mixed with bananas were way more pleasing that plain peaches, we tried that yesterday and Finley was not a fan at all. It was a gorgeous sunny day, so it was nice to be outside. Finley and I just got back from a walk to the post office, with a stopover at Baskin Robbins. She was really eyeing my sundae. It must have been the smell of peanut butter. Baskin Robbins satisfies my need for Friendly's because they have peanut butter sauce...yum! We also spied some kittens on the way home, they were super adorable and I think this one wanted to come home with us, I left my name if they adopt them out.

I have also included a picture of the rare Camden and Finley interaction...photographic evidence!

Isn't she adorable?

So when do we get to add peanut butter sauce, chocolate ice cream and whipped cream into the mix?

Can we get her? Pleeeeease.....

I don't like peaches, not one bit!

Loving the outdoor barbecues already~

More Pictures from the Morning Photo Shoot

Finley is getting harder and harder to get to stay still for her weekly picture. She wants to grab for the bear or turn over or try and eat her dress...anything but posing! Clifton helped me try to corral her this morning and I finally got an ok shot. It was right before nap time, so she was sort of sleepy, but still super cute.

She has taken to peas after her initial reaction of distaste for them. We start peaches at lunch today, I am guessing she will love them!
