Finley was entertained for quite awhile this evening. She loves watching me play MarioKart. All the colors, lights and music...perfect baby entertainment. When do kids get to start actually playing Wii? I am sure she will be able to beat me as soon as she can play.
She took her shots and is napping away right now. I think we are going to find a new pediatrician because our current doctor was really pushing solids today.
Thanks to Dori, I found a plain white hat with a velcro strap at Target. I bought the infant size and it is still a little big, looks like Finley didn't inherit my head size, thank goodness!
We went for a walk this evening and thanks to the rotating stroller she can always be in the shade without a hat. Hopefully she grows into it soon~
Finley is four months old today, one third of a year! We had our first official outdoor photo session today, but only in the shade since I still have yet to find a good hat for her. I may just splurge and get the Hanna Andersson, because finding a cute plain white hat is near impossible. I ideally want one with an elastic chin strap, but I have had zero luck. And since I hope for Finley to love the pool as much as Clifton and I do, it will be a vital part of her swimwear wardrobe.
She was sort of squat sitting up today, but she promptly spit up right after. She seemed to be confused by it, but she was able to hold on for a bit before she tipped over.
Clifton has Finley in training to perfect her rolling over. She is pretty good at rolling over back to front, but she has yet to roll over in the opposite direction. His best success was him rolling over and her mimicking him, how adorable is that...
I gave Clifton that T-Rex years ago for Christmas, he used it to torture Wrigley and Camden. Finley loves it! I makes a loud noise when you pull the trigger and she is totally taken with it.
Clifton is currently in "roll over training" with Finley, he wants to start having betting on whether she is going to go left or right. Is there an option for "burying her face in the blanket and crying in frustration"? I am all in for that!
Here are some cute pics from this afternoon's swing time. Her hair is getting quite sparse, especially when you are swinging on a very blustery day.
We got to take a family zoo trip today in the 85 degree weather (wow!)
We got to see the bears, the new baby giraffe, the elephants, the leapord and many more. The best part is that Finley was awake for the whole trip, though she did have some big baby yawns. Finley is still no fan of the sun, we need to get her a big floppy hat for sure!
On a non-zoo related note, we need to have Grandma Matuska babysit more often, the last two times she has watched her Finley has slept past 8 am in the morning. Yay!
