WDW: Day Three

We slept in a bit this morning because of our late night last night, we headed out to Hollywood Studios. Our first stop was to sign up for the Jedi Training Academy, we got the last show of the day...phew! We then went to see the Muppets 3-D show, Finley was most excited to see the evil Kermit imposter, Constantine. We rode Star Tours and then it was time for the Disney Jr lunch at Hollywood and Vine. Finley was so excited to meet Doc McStuffins and Sofia. There were also chances to dance with the characters throughout the meal, which Finley loved. We then got some play time at the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground before Lights! Motors! Action! Finley was super hot at the point, I think the playground wore her out. We cooled off with a Toy Story Midway Mania ride, Great Movie ride and then the Disney Jr show. Our last ride before nap was the Tower of Terror. We were able to book another Toy Story Fastpass for this evening, then we headed back for a nap.

We grabbed dinner at a Finley favorite, Pizza Planet, then it was onto Toy Story Midway Mania. After the ride we pulled another fastpass for Tower of Terror, then we went over to Star Tours so Finley could participate in the Jedi Training Academy. Finley did an amazing job, it was her best performance yet! We hustled over to see Fantasmic and grabbed seats two minutes before the show started. We got one more ride in on Tower of Terror, had some ice cream and headed back to the hotel. Anna and Elsa tomorrow!

WDW: Day Two

It was an early start this morning to be at Animal Kingdom at rope drop. On our way to our car, Clifton spotted a turkey, Finley had fun following him around the parking lot. We headed straight to Everest when we arrived. Finley is finally tall enough to ride and we were able to ride it three times in a row, including a trip in the front row and one in the back row. Finley selected a moving Yeti Everest pin to add to her collection to commemorate her first ride. We headed over to ride Dinosaur, but were sad to see that the Triceratops Spin was down. We visited with Mickey and Minnie in their new home along the way to Asia. It was back across the park to walk the Jungle Trek, Finley spotted a tiger lounging by the water. After our trek, we took the train to Rafiki's Conservation Station. Finley got a Wilderness Explorer book to complete tasks and collect stickers in, she also met Chip, Dale and Rafiki there. We grabbed a quick lunch, then it was on to ride Everest again and then the safari. Finley kept track of all the animals she spotted in her book and got two more badges to add to her collection. It had been a big morning, so we headed back to the hotel for some pool time and a nap.

We headed over to the Magic Kingdom for the evening. We were able to ride the Teacups, Pirates, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pooh, Goofy's Barnstormer and Aladdin's carpets. We got a lot of rides in before the Main Street Electrical Light Parade and the fireworks. Finley had fun re-enacting her pirates scene from the day before in the Pirates queue.

WDW - Day One

We started out bright and early this morning at 6:30 am to drive to the airport.  Finley enjoyed a breakfast taco feast, then a couple short hours and one viewing of Frozen later, we were in Orlando.  Unfortunately, Clifton had about an hour delay, so Finley and I headed to Friendly's for lunch (and ice cream!)  She proclaimed it the best restaurant ever, such a smart girl.  She selected a pink balloon and said we had to visit every day for lunch for our whole trip.  After a trip to Wal-Mart to stock up on snacks and water, it was back to the airport to pick up Clifton.  We checked into our room at Coronado Springs and Finley was given two more balloons, it was a balloon filled day.  After unpacking all our things, we drove over to Hollywood Studios.  We were able to ride Star Tours, Toy Story Midway Mania, Tower of Terror and the Great Movie Ride.  But the highlight for Finley was being selected to hold the key and be the star of The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow.  A friendly cast member came up to Finley while we were waiting in line and asked if Finley wanted to star in the show, of course she did.  Her job was to hold up a key and yell "Aye" when the skull asked her who possesses the skull key.  She did a fantastic job and wasn't scared at all.  She was a bit frightened during the Alien scenes in the Great Movie Ride, but loved the rest.  Finley also prefers the WDW Tower of Terror to the Disneyland version, I like the Disneyland version better because I know exactly what to expect.

The magic bands have been working great so far, but they are quite sweaty, which annoys both Finley and myself.  It was nice to be able to ride three headliners in three hours with a 5 pm arrival time.  Tomorrow we plan to visit Animal Kingdom in the morning, then hit the pool and conclude our night at the Magic Kingdom.
