Disney World: Day Three

We were once again up bright and early to make it to Epcot at park open. Epcot did not open early like Hollywood Studios did, so we were there in perfect time to ride Test Track and grab a fast pass for it. There are now sending the fastpasses to design your own vehicle, but you have to do it in a group. Finley had fun designing a purple truck and a pink mini car in her two rides. She loves going fast! Finley rode Nemo, but was most excited to ask a question in Turtle Talk with Crush. Luckily we were at one of the first shows of the day, so it wasn't crowded at all and Finley was the first kid selected to ask Crush a question. She asked "Do fish bite?" Answer, "They do!" Finley was so proud to have participated in the show. The Flower and Garden Festival is going on right now and it is incredible. Epcot looks better than I have ever seen it and the character topiaries are adorable.

Finley played and rode Journey Into Imagination while we waited for our Soarin' fastpasses to be ready. After a ride on Soarin, we took the Land boat tour before our lunch in Italy. We used the boat to cross over the lake for the first time ever. You can roll the stroller directly on, so it is a really easy way to get across the water. Finley was exhausted and not hungry at all during lunch, so we headed back to the hotel to get a nap in before our evening in the Magic Kingdom.

Getting to the Magic Kingdom was the first time I missed staying at a monorail resort. We had to drive fifteen minutes to the parking lot, then take a tram, then take the monorail and then we were finally there. Finley wanted to fastpass Crooked Choo Choo, so we did that and watched the Country Bear Jamboree while we waited for them to be ready. The line got really short after our first ride on Big Thunder Mountain, so we rode it again with only a 5 minute wait. For how crazy the park was, I was amazed. Especially since it was 80 minutes wait when we got to the park. We grabbed a quick dinner and headed over to the Haunted Mansion. Finley announced to the whole room to keep their backs away from the walls before the cast member got a chance to. It was too funny! After the Haunted Mansion we rode It's a Small World, Teacups and the People Mover (Finley's current favorite ride.) Space Mountain had been closed all day and was completely lit up inside. It was neat to see it with the lights on from the People Mover. We decided to skip the Electric Light Parade since it was so busy, so we rode Stitch's Great Escape, danced with Chip, Dale and Stitch and rode Buzz Lightyear before ending the night with the Castle Show and fireworks. We are sleeping in tomorrow! 10 pm fireworks make for a late night.

Disney World: Day Two

We woke up bright and early to grab breakfast before our day at Hollywood Studios. We saw some hot air balloons outside in the sky, but Finley was more excited by the fact that "RELAX" had been spelled out with towels on the chaise lounges at the pool. We got to Hollywood Studios before it even opened, turned out it had opened early. So I was pulling fast passes for Toy Story four minutes before the park was officially open. Clifton took Finley to sign up for Jedi Training Academy and they got a spot in the 1:20 pm show. Finley met Woody and Buzz, then we headed over to the giant hat to meet Minnie Mouse and Pluto. Pluto was a swap out for Stitch, so we promised we would come back when he returned. Finley just recently watched Lilo and Stitch, she loved it and was so excited to see him. After a ride on the Tower of Terror, Stitch was back and ready for a meet and greet. Then it was time for Toy Story Mania, I won for the car, beating Clifton...ha! Finley grabbed a quick lunch before the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. We left a couple minutes early so we could be sure to make her Jedi Training. Finley did much better this time, she activated her light saber every time they asked her to. She did a great job and was quite proud of herself. We grabbed an ice cream cone snack and headed back to the hotel to play in the pool and take a nap. Finley was doing an amazing job swimming, she has worked so hard at it and I am sure she will be jumping off the diving board at Grammy and Grandad's in no time. We rode the pool slide about 20 times, no exaggeration. I think a trip to either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach may be in order. After nap we headed back to Hollywood Studios to ride Toy Story and Tower of Terror. Then we had dinner right before Fantasmic. Finley was loving Fantasmic! She had a permanent smile on her face the entire show. She had brought her Sorcerer Mickey to see the show and she told us that her other friends were going to be jealous. She made sure to tell them a bedtime story all about the show tonight.

If you can't tell from the Instagram photo collage, Finley and I made Clifton wear a Happy Anniversary button since our anniversary is on Tuesday. I forgot to mention yesterday that when we got our buttons, the castmember noticed all of Finley's buttons on her stroller. He asked us to give him a minute and he returned with a Mickey Dreamer button that I had never seen before. Apparently it is rare, so it is a great add to Finley's collection.

WDW: Day One

We flew out of Houston this morning to visit Disney World and burn off a bunch of Hilton points.  We were lucky enough to be upgraded to first class and I don't think Finley ever wants to go back to coach.  She devoured her huge breakfast, especially loving the warm cinnamon roll, so much so that she wouldn't even share one bite with me.  Once we arrived in Orlando and got our bags (first off the carousel, I think all the rest of the bags were sent directly to WDW) then walked over to rent our car.  No shuttle, which was really easy.

We wanted to get to Hollywood Studios by 3 pm for the Pixar Pals Parade.  Today is the last day EVER for the parade and there is no replacement parade lined up.  So if Finley wanted to see her favorite Monsters, we had to make the parade.  We got checked into our room and headed over to the park.  We got there in plenty of time, so we grabbed a bite to eat and fastpassed Star Tours.  We got our same great viewing spot for the parade and ended up next to a big group of castmembers who were obviously also bidding the parade farewell.

Three rides of Star Tours later, it was on to the Great Movie Ride and the new Disney Jr show.  Finley is obsessed with Doc McStuffins, so she was thrilled to see Doc and all her animal friends live. I  have a feeling we will be seeing this show again.  We walked through an exhibit about Walt Disney on our way to the Studio Backlot Tour.  Finey loved the water effects, but was afraid of the fire.  We played a little bit in Honey I Shrunk the Kids and decided to call it an early evening.  We will be returning to Hollywood Studios again tomorrow to get Finley in the Jedi Training Academy!

Children's Museum

Finley loves Doc McStuffins. For those of you without kids, Doc McStuffins is a show where the kid doctors her stuffed animals. Finley's new favorite place to play in the Children's Museum is the vet office so she can pretend she is Doc McStuffins. She loves doctoring the animals. Maybe we have a future vet! Of course the grocery store is a still a favorite as well as the restaurant. Food and animals...Finley is obsessed! We are so lucky that we can just pop on over whenever we like to play.

Hoppy Easter!

Finley woke up Easter morning and was ready to hunt for eggs.  She was most excited about the eggs the Easter bunny had hidden in the At At Walker.  It was an egg shaped like Darth Vader!  Halfway through the hunt, Finley discovered her Easter basket which came with a Doc McStuffins toy and book, Minnie Mouse memory and all sorts of candy.  Grandma, Jack, Grammy and Grandad all came over for Easter dinner.  Finley wasn't a huge fan of ham, but she loved the Sunflower Peep Cake.
