C is for Cookie

And Finley is a cookie MONSTER! She tried a gingerbread man for the first time today, of course Clifton fed it to her before dinner...sigh. She loved it and couldn't cram it into her mouth fast enough. She definitely knows the word "cookie!"

Best Toy Yet

Finley loves being pulled around in her chip box. She has my old cell phone in there with her, which I refer to as her car phone. I don't think we need to buy her anything for Christmas, just take her to Costco to pick out a box that has handles so that we can pull her around in it. It's the little things.

More Zoo Fun

Finley loves the zoo! We got to go this past Friday afternoon because Clifton was home from work early. We only spent about an hour or so there, but it was enough time to visit Finley's friends the elephants, giraffes and flamingoes.

Hairbows

Finley loves to take out her hair bow and try to put it back on. She is not ever successful in getting back in, of course, but she still tries and tries. She had all her hairbows out of her drawer today and was trying to put them all in her hair. She also was keen on her Christmas tree.

Anyone else out there feel like the Christmas wrapping has increased exponetially since you had a kid? Whew...I feel like the wrapping will never end!

Toddler Time

Finley Anne is walking, not just a step or two, but full on walking. She still prefers to crawl, but I have a feeling she is going to be stepping out all over the place soon enough!

As I was typing this she just had her first meeting with the floor while walking, there were tears for a few seconds, poor girl!

Finley's Christmas Tree

It was nearly impossible to get a good picture of Finley with her Christmas tree. This year I added some pink beaded garland to the tree. I am still on the hunt for more cute pink mini ornaments.

Finley is all over the place and up to taking a couple steps here and there. We are still a far away from walking, but it is some progress. Some of her favorite things to do are read (and tear apart) pop-up books, play with her Little People Farm and she loves all things musical!

Don't I Fit Perfectly?

When (if?) Grammy and Grandad move to Houston, they are going to buy a boat. They currently have a pontoon boat. Our family votes that they get a cute ski boat that Finley fits just perfectly in.

Ho, Ho, Cry!

We took Finley to visit Santa Claus. We visited him at the Bass Pro Shop in Pearland, Texas because you got a 4x6 photo for free and you could take whatever picture you wanted! That is a much better deal than the twenty dollar mall Santa. More importantly, Finley got to take in the spectacle that is the Bass Pro Shop.

Please ignore my chipmunk cheek, I had oral surgery this week.

My, my Finley, what big teeth you have!

Finley is finally starting to take more than a step or two, I think she had our in a row yesterday afternoon. She collapses into your arms once she reaches you. It is adorable. It is becoming harder and harder to take a picture of her because she is so interested in going after the camera. She is most interested in sorting her toys. She will empty her entire toy cabinet and then put everything back into it. We have tried watching the Grinch and the Charlie Brown Christmas specials, but she wasn't interested in either.
