Fun with the Kitty Cats

Wrigley, Camden and Finley were all demonstrating their climbing skills, but Wrigley definitely won the skills contest. I am still not sure what posessed her to walk the railing, but she didn't seem phased at all.

Such a Happy Little Girl

Finley has been all over the place, still no real signs of walking, but she wants to climb up everything. She loves going up the stairs, it is one of her favorite things to do. She also tries to climb onto the couch, but she has yet to be able to get up on the couch, she just gets frustrated!

You can also see that she has had her second haircut, such a big girl~

Thank You Outtakes

I have ordered the Thank Yous for Finley's birthday gifts, but they have yet to arrive. In the meantime, here are some adorable outtakes from trying to get the perfect shot!

Can you see the Goldfish cracker bribe in her mouth? Foos is the best way to get her to do anything~ she is a mini-foodie!

Visiting Auntie Hodder

Heather was in San Antonio to celebrate her 30th birthday (old lady!), so Finley and I packed up our bags for her second road trip to San Antonio. We had a bit of a rough ride heading there, even a stop at Dairy Queen (her first!) didn't calm the Bug. The ride home was a totally different story, we made the whole trip in about three hours. Finley had a blast in San Antonio and cannot wait to have a new playmate to visit in San Antonio/Vail.

What's My Fortune?

Finley is still wholly un-enthusiastic about Chinese food. We went to Kam's for dinner tonight. The cool thing about Kam's is their steamed dumplings. You get a little set to make your own sauce. It contains vinegar, oil, a ginger sauce, soy sauce and little dishes of red and green minced chili peppers. I make my sauce super vinegar-y and only use the green chilis. Clifton's only has a splash of vinegar and a TON of the red chilis. Finley would spit out any of the dumplings from my plate, but she loved Clifton's. This girl can handle the spice!

I tried to give her pickles the other day, she didn't like those either. How can you not like vinegar??!?!?!

One Year Doctor Appointment

Finley had her one year doctor appointment today and she did great! Poor thing had to endure four shots, two in each thigh. She cried during both sets, it was heartbreaking. She seemed to be back in good spirits afterwards, let’s hope she gets lots of rest this afternoon.

She was all smiles and talking up a storm before it was time for the shots. Her pediatrician said she is progressing perfectly and said our concerns over her weight were not warranted. That was a relief! She still hasn’t hit 20 pounds yet, considering the amount of food she eats, I was shocked. Her height has jumped up, she is really long and lean.

Height: 30” (75th to 90th percentile)
Weight: 19 pounds, 11 ounces (10th to 25th percentile)
Head: 17 ¾” (50th percentile)

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Finley and Clifton both loved their birthday chicken pot pie. Finley was a great helper in unwrapping gifts. She didn't get to stay up for cake, she was exhausted from her big play day at the Tot Spot. This time of year is crazy for holidays! First Halloween, then Finley's birthday, then Clifton's birthday, then G-ma's birthday, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas and finally New Years~ so much excitement for the Bug.
