Sea World

Finley had so much fun with cousin Faith, G-Ma and Aunt Rose at Sea World. The best part was Faith's Beluga whale interaction. What an absolutely amazing experience. I have a ton of pictures from the day. Finley was a party animal the night before and was up until 10pm. Lucky for her, the stroller goes into full recline so she was able to squeeze in a nap while Clifton and I rode the Steel Eel. Feeding the dolphins
Getting used to the view from six feet up
Family picture time
Feeding the lorikeets

Road Trip

Finley went on her first big road trip this weekend to San Antonio. She did great on the car ride and was rewarded with dinner at Mi Tierra. She got a balloon and was so excited. Finley also got to use her umbrella stroller that Auntie Kristina got her for the very first time. It worked great at the Market, the Alamo and on the Riverwalk (which deserves its own post). Her only disappointment was that Auntie Heather was not in San Antonio for her visit. Hoepfully next time!

First Haircut

We are so lucky that Finley's nanny is trained to cut hair. Finley just needed a little trim because her bangs were constantly getting in her face. I held her while Lori did her best to trim her hair. Finley was super wiggly, but we got her bangs trimmed up and saved her first lock of hair. It is baby fine.

Finley Loves Filipino Food

I am in a breakfast club at work, two weeks ago was my boss's turn to make breakfast. His wife made an amazing noodle dish that reminded me very much of the Mee Hoon Goreng I enjoyed so much in Malaysia. Another co-worker is also from the Philippines and I asked her if she had a recipe for whatever it was that my boss's wife had made. She said it was very similar, just not as spicy as the Mee Hoon Goreng. Imagine my surprise on Tuesday when she brought me a huge dish of Pancit Sotanghon. It was soooo good and Finley loved it too.

A True Texas Girl

Finley loves her Blue Bell and she loves her Chappel Hill sausage. She also has a bit of Maryland in her, she adores crab lumps sauteed in butter...almost as much as ice cream.

Here is a cute picture of her enjoying her breakfast of sausage, eggs and biscuits...all made by dad!

Eat em up, Eat em up....Go Coogs Go!

Finley went to her first ever football game yesterday. She has now completed the big three, she has been to a basketball, baseball and football game. Go Finley!

The game was a 6pm start and Finley loved it. By halftime, she was tired and the Coogs were dominating and the second string was being sent in, so we headed home for the night. If the game had been earlier, she would have been able to sit through the whole thing. And if the Frenchy's chicken drive through hadn't taken 30 minutes with no end in sight, we might have gotten some tasty chicken.

The mighty Houston Cougars defeated the Northwestern State Demons by a score of 55 to 7. Case Keenum looked amazing, he is going to throw for 6000 this year, I can feel it. If the Cougars can win the next two games, they are going to be unstoppable.

No Water....Yet

One of Finley's favorite things to do is to mess with the faucet for the tub in our bathroom. She hasn't gotten water to come out yet, but I think she is getting very close to finding some success. I think the water will scare her more than anything!

More Pictures from the Weekend

Finley had such a big weekend, that I am only now getting to posting all the backlog of pictures. I still have cute pictures from this week to get to, so she better not get too cute this holiday weekend or else I will never be able to catch up.

Finley is saying "Uh-oh" when she knocks down her blocks. She also says "Uh-oh baby". On the rarer occasion, she will say "kitty-cat" when she sees Wrigley or Camden. Clifton, G-Ma and I have all heard her say it! She and Wrigley are going to be besties forever.

Crab Feast

Finley had all her family over for a giant crab feast. She wore her new crab dress in honor of the occasion. Finley had a great time playing with her cousin Faith, who even helped to feed her!She also had her first taste of crab...sadly...she was not a fan. She still has time to learn. She looked so jealous before and the time before that.
