Such Cuteness

Finley finally gets to enjoy her Pancakes

A few months back, I had made pancakes in the shape of Finley's name. Joe's mom's advice was good, we waited until 8 months! Yesterday morning, I made plain pancakes for Finley (strawberry for Clifton and I, she still has to wait some more for those). She seemed to like them okay, we still aren't sure if she preferred them with or without the tiniest dot of syrup.

Finley also tried pasta for the first time this week. She really seemed to enjoy it, we tried it with a spinach tomato sauce. She won't eat spinach plain, but she does like it whenever I mix it with anything.

Her army crawling is getting better and better, the funniest part is that whenever she is moving she is talking "ah-ah-ah-ah". This doesn't allow her to sneak up on the cats very easily, so they run away much faster than she can crawl after them, though Wrigley always comes back to play.

Finley is working on week two of the runniest nose ever from teething. We keep waiting on the top teeth to make their appearance, but there haven't been any sightings yet.

One more 'talent' is that Finley now waves~ it is the cutest thing ever.

Finley's First Art Opening

Only two pieces so far and her collection has already reached out of state. Finley's second ever piece is joining the permanent private collection of her granddad in Phoenix. The buzz is that the work has been very well received and they are already clamoring for more. It must be hard to be so talented at such a very young age.
Finley's first piece is framed and getting ready to be exhibited in downtown Houston. Stay tuned for future showings.

Playgroup Fun

Finley got to visit her friend Max's house on Friday for her playgroup. Audrey, Wyatt and Emma were also there to play. There was a new friend for Finley to meet as well, Jordan is only six months old, but already so close to crawling. Maybe she inspired Finley to get more mobile this past weekend. I didn't bring out my camera until later, so I only grabbed pics of Audrey and Max. The three of them are only weeks apart, but so different in size!

Max looking totally adorable.

This play table is much easier when it is on the floor.
What do you mean no more batteries?
Aren't we the cutest ever?

Morning Pictures

Finley was all over the place this morning, it is getting harder and harder to photograph her. She loves to crawl towards me, which means lots of cute close ups. Finley has just wanted to move around today, she isn't interested in anything else, which has made nap time oh so pleasant. She was a super sleeper yesterday, so maybe she is using all that energy she stored up today.
