Rolling and sort of Crawling

Finley was in a fantastic mood this morning. Everyone at Central Market was taken by her, she was so smiley and fun. This morning at CVS the cashier told her that she had "funny eyes, beautiful funny eyes" and that I had the same funny, yet beautiful, eyes. I guess we will take it as a compliment.

She was rolling all around this morning while we tried to grab her picture. She sort of attmepts to crawl by just lunging her left arm forward, but then her right arm gets stuck and she goes back to rolling to get where she needs to go. She made the first grab at the electrical outlet, I am guessing we need to get them babyproofed now. She was laughing the entire time, especially when Clifton tickled her.

Thirty-Five Weeks

Finley was in a much better mood this week!

Playtime Fun

We had what seemed to be all of Finley's toys this morning out to play with. The ABC wheel was singing that "the animal's have something to say", the octopus was saying colors en francais, the play table was singe the alphabet song and the animal training kept making elephant sounds. It was a fun morning and Finley loved all the excitement.

Miss Finley (and Mommy) are Quite Upset

J got his table for the WSOP today. And he is sitting with Phil Hellmuth. My absolute favorite poker player ever (except for J, of course).

We both feel cheated. Hrmph.

Eight Months Old

I cannot believe Miss Finley is already eight months old. She is still pretty tiny, about 16 pounds and 27 inches. She is still in size 2 diapers and is just starting to outgrow her 3 to 6 months clothes. She is making no progress towards crawling, but she loves to stand and play at her table. She also has really become fiesty, she lunges towards anything she wants with absolutely no fear. I guess since she cannot crawl to get places, lunging is what works for her. Her hair is also growing longer, soon enough she will be able to sport pigtails!

Can we go to Vegas?

Pleeeeease...

Clifton's friend J has survived Day 2 in the World Series of Poker Main Event and is getting geared up for day 3 on Friday. Don't you think Finley and I would make a great cheering section? He would certainly have the cutest baby rooting for him.

And Finley is already showing her poker prowess, I swear she only ever reached for the aces...

New Food and New Toy

Finley has had more fruits and veggies than most people have had their entire life! So far she has tried avocadoes, blueberries, acorn squash, butternut sqush, sweet potatoes, apples, bananas (her favorite!), pears, peaches, nectarines, plums, peas, green beans, papaya, mangoes, pumpkin and carrots. So today we tried something new: oatmeal!

Now Finley will eat nearly anything you feed her, except for avocadoes. She doesn't like tham at all. Other than that, she is completely happy with all her foods. She seemed to be caught off guard by the oatmeal. Once I mixed it with some apples, she was on board with loving it.

Finley also got a new toy, a LeapFrog Learn and Groove Play Table. She goes nuts for it. Plus, it shows off her good standing skills.

Happy Fourth of July!

Waiting for my Playdates to Arrive

We had a big day today with our playgroup, nearly three whole hours of pool time. Finley is becoming quite the little fishy. She really enjoys being in the pool and has a great time splashing around. She splashed so much that we missed her afternoon nap. She had such a great time with all the babies, Nicholas, Sarah, Max and Audrey. I bet she invites them back for another pool date real soon!

Tomorrow is the fourth of July, I don't think we will be able to make the fireworks this year since Finley goes to bed at around 7 pm. Hopefully next year we will be able to catch the big show.

So Many Cute Faces

Miss Finley is super expressive, you definitely know what is on her mind whether she is happy or sad.
