Little Swimmer

Finley had her first dip in the pool yesterday and she loved it. She is already so good at kicking her baby legs, you can really see the instinct there. As soon as you lower her into the water, she floats up and begins to try to swim. Soon enough she will be swimming around on her own.

Playdate

You know a good time is going to be had when the babies outnumber the moms~

The twins, Courtney and Kendall, Riley and Ryan all came over for lunch and some play fun. Well, Ryan and Finley had play fun, the rest of the bunch napped and observed. Soon enough it will be a madhouse when we all get together. It was my first time meeting Miss Riley and she is so gorgeous!

Sweet Potatoes are Sweet

Finley got her second solid food today: sweet potatoes! She loved them. She had them all over her bib and she had the best time trying to lick them off. She ate every last bite of them and I think she would have had more if she could have. So far, solid foods has been going well. Next step is bananas, which I have already made and frozen. Then comes peas. We are going to alternate fruits and veggies for awhile so that we are sure she isn't allergic to anything.

Six Month Doctor Appointment

Six Month Stats:

14 pounds, 6 ounces (25 percentile)
25.5 inches (50th percentile)
16.34 inches (50th percentile)

She is actually down in weight and the same in height from her four month stats. She took her shots like a champ and she charmed everyone in the office. Such a smiley girl!

Meeting baby Noah and Winston, too!

Finley and I got to meet Neon and Matthew's new son Noah, he is super cute and quite teeny tiny.Once we got home, Finley got to meet Winston, of Terry Fator fame. She loved him and had lots of fun talking and playing with him.

Finley's First Trip to Freebirds

After the morning avocado adventure, Finley is for sure getting the avocado add on for her first ever Freebird's burrito. It was my first trip there as well and we all left happy and quite full. Round two of avocado comes this morning, hopefully she eats as well as she did yesterday.

First Food: Avocado!

On Saturday, Finley turned six months old, which mean it was time for her first bites of solids. She ate about one quarter of an avocado this morning. She takes after her grandad and mom, she loved it! She even tried to feed herself with the spoon. What a big girl already.

At the end, she was getting tired, so she decided she needed to rub her avocado hands all in her eyes. So we got her first food and her first spa treatment avocado face mask all in one.

After three days of avocado, we are moving on to sweet potatoes and then bananas.

Twenty-Six Weeks

Bye-bye Mommy!

On Thursday evening I left for Las Vegas for a girls weekend~ it was super hard to leave Finley, but I am sure she enjoyed her weekend with her dad. Finley also had her first overnight away from home at Grandma's on Friday night. I don't have any pictures from the weekend because Clifton is not nearly the shutterbug that I am. I dtill haven't seen Finley since I have been home since she was sleeping when I got home last night and was still snoozing once I left for work this morning.

Finley in the Great Outdoors

It is starting to get hot already here in Houston! Finley is so hot natured, she sweats all the time, who knows how she will be able to handle Houston's sweltering summers. She is already becoming a sweaty mess whenever she is in her carseat and we haven't even got real hot yet. She will have to learn how to swim in order to catch some nice relief in our pool. I got her some swim diapers this weekend, so hopefully this warm spell warms up the water enough for her to take her first dip.

First Trip to HMNS

Finley took her first trip yesterday to the Houston Museum of Natural Science because Bank of America was sponsoring free admission. Finley's most favorite part of the museum was the Energy Hall, it was very colorful and had lots of neat sounds. She also really enjoyed the gemstones, so sparkly! Soon enough her cousin Faith will be teaching her all about the dinosaurs there.
