Family Swing Time

Clifton is currently in "roll over training" with Finley, he wants to start having betting on whether she is going to go left or right. Is there an option for "burying her face in the blanket and crying in frustration"? I am all in for that!

Here are some cute pics from this afternoon's swing time. Her hair is getting quite sparse, especially when you are swinging on a very blustery day.

Zoo Trip

We got to take a family zoo trip today in the 85 degree weather (wow!)

We got to see the bears, the new baby giraffe, the elephants, the leapord and many more. The best part is that Finley was awake for the whole trip, though she did have some big baby yawns. Finley is still no fan of the sun, we need to get her a big floppy hat for sure!

On a non-zoo related note, we need to have Grandma Matuska babysit more often, the last two times she has watched her Finley has slept past 8 am in the morning. Yay!

Fun Times with the Animal Train

Finley is really getting a lot more interactive with her toys. She loves to pull and push the animal train across her tray. She is such a smiley girl!

Baby Genius!

Finley is holding her bottle all by herself now! I think this makes her some sort of baby genius since she only gets one bottle a day. Too bad she was interested in eating much, she just wanted to chew on it. Let's hope these teeth break through quickly.

Finley+Mommy = Mommy+Bob's Big Boy

If it weren't for my shirt color, it would be tough to tell these two pictures apart. I spotted a Bob's Big Boy at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's Barbecue Cook Off. I couldn't resist posing for a picture with him, since he looks so much like baby Finley. They really could be related. They both have big, beautiful, blue eyes, rosy cheeks, an adorable smile and of course, that trademark hair curl.
See how happy she looks? She certainly wasn't feeling that way today. I think she has begun teething. She appears to have two tooth buds where her two front teeth should be coming in. She has so many of the symptoms: irritability, congestion, loss of appetite, clinginess, and she wants to chew on EVERYTHING. Sophie has provided her some comfort, thank goodness! Auntie Neon got Sophie for Finley at my baby shower, since giraffes are my favorite animal, I totally loved it. Little did I know how practical it was as well.

Getting ready for Crawfish!

We are heading over to Grandma Matuska's for some yummy crawfish this afternoon, next year Finley will be able to eat them with us. Finley had a great time playing with her cousin Faith last night and she cannot wait to see her again today.

Here are some cute pics from breakfast and showing off her kicks from Auntie Neon.

Future Top Chef?

One of my most favorite television shows is Top Chef, tonight is the season finale. In honor of it, I decided to get Finley dressed for it while we cooked dinner together. She really enjoys hanging out in her bouncer in the kitchen while I cook. I am hoping she will enjoy her high chair as much once she grows into it. The bacon wrapped pork tendrloin is in the oven, dinner will be ready soon.

For the record, Finley and I are Team Stefan tonight, but we would both be okay with Carla taking top honors as well. Let's hope we aren't disappointed.

New toys!

I got the Exersaucer that Santa brought Finley put together today. She seemed to really like it. Now if it were a Rainforest exersaucer, it would be the best, but sadly they don't make one. My favorite part of it is the dragon puppet, I need to think of more things for a dragon to say. So far, I only have "Rawrrrr", that is going to get old really quick.

Finley also had some play time in her Bumbo seat, she played with the animal train that Grandma Matuska, aka G-Ma, got her for Valentine's Day.

Fifteen Weeks

I am sitting with Finley in her room waiting for her to drift off to sleep for a nap, she has grown so much. She is finally getting to the point where she will nap in her crib, which is a huge accomplishment, even if she only naps for 30 minutes or so.

Here are this week's pictures:
